About Me

About Miss Vetter

My name is Jennifer Vetter and I teach 1st grade at the most wonderful school in Nashville!  I began my teaching career in 2007 and have been teaching at A.Z. Kelley since 2009.  I substitute taught for 3 years after graduating from Western Kentucky University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-6.  During the summer of 2014 I earned my master's degree in English Language Learning PreK-12 from Western Governor's University.
When I have free time, I love to travel.  I have been fortunate enough to have visited several countries.  I have also lived in several states throughout my childhood.  I also enjoy reading and spending time with family, friends, and my dog Nash - who I absolutely adore!
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.  It is my desire as a teacher to help students reach their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites sharing of ideas.

I am looking forward to another great year with wonderful staff, terrific students, and supportive parents!
