The Colors of Us

We recently learned about culture and concluded our unit with the book, The Colors of Us.  This book celebrates the differences and similarities that connect all people. 

PTA

We need less than 100 families to join PTA so we can meet our goal of having 350 families join!  Remember, we get to have School Spirit Fridays (jeans and an A.Z. Kelley t-shirt) if we meet our goal!  Also, I will pay for a pizza party if 100% of our class joins!!! I understand that many of you have busy schedules, and that's ok!  You can be as involved as you want to be.  We really appreciate those of you who have already joined, and if you're interested, you could consider sponsoring another family's membership.  Let me know if you'd like to do that!

iLearn With An iPad

We have a project posted on Donors Choose to get an iPad for the students to use at school.  We are so close to having enough donations, but we still need a few more. We worked on making inferences this week!  Ask your child to tell you the fancy word for "what you already know" (schema).

Dress Up Days

Don't forget that tomorrow is pajama day!  Also, kids can wear their favorite sports team's shirt with jeans on Friday!
